questioin about cdl's?

Postby mrjuggalo9er » Sun Oct 04, 2009 7:51 pm

i attended swift transportations driving school in 2004 paid them 3000 along with the wonderful 50 or so other people for that week
in approx june of 2008 the facility i attended to obtained a cdl was raided by the tenn dot and the fbi
the state of tenn began revoking and or cancelling persons whom obtained thier cdl's through swift ...in tenn
found out two months ago that i had to completely retest as if i never had it even though i have approx 5 years exp and no tickets
supposedly a class action lawsuit has been filed to date the three attorneys involved have not contacted me back in regards to joining it ...curious is thier any purpose in trying to appeal it through the state maybe.....since this all happened i moved to indi and kinda found out by suprise
if there is nothing i can do to the state can i sue swift on my own for at least my 3000 back
this crap affected over 8000 people
god my grammar sucks lol

I don't know a lot about the workings of class actions. I will say this (and it is not legal advice), but suing the original school may not result in getting any money back as it sounds like they have bigger fish to fry/have had all their funds seized. You may want to talk to an attorney that specializes in malpractice (sues other attorneys).
